What is Dermalux TriWave LED Phototherapy?

Dermalux™ Tri-wave LED Phototherapy is an award-winning non-invasive hand and facial treatment that uses narrow band, non-thermal LED light energy to trigger your body’s natural cell processes to accelerate rejuvenation and repair of the skin. It can improve a poor complexion, signs of ageing (including lines and wrinkles on the face, hands or body) sunburn skin damage, pigmentation and overall skin health. The Phototherapy combines red, blue and near infra-red light emitting diode or LED light sources.

A unique, patented feature of the Dermalux system is that, unlike other competitor LED devices, all three light wavelengths can be delivered either as individual phototherapy treatments or simultaneously and in any combination.

How does LED Phototherapy work?

As a result of ageing or skin conditions healthy cells are compromised and unable to renew themselves normally. Our skin has the ability to absorb certain wavelengths of light and use it as a source of energy to activate specific cellular processes to produce a therapeutic effect. It is a natural biochemical reaction similar to that of plant photo-synthesis.

Dermalux LED Phototherapy uses clinically proven wavelengths to recharge these cells, energising them to heal quicker and rejuvenate faster, promoting healing from the inside out.

How safe is the treatment?

LED Phototherapy does not use heat or chemicals and the light does not contain harmful UV wavelengths and so cannot damage skin cells. Dermalux provides one of the safest ways to treat all skin types and conditions without risk of irritation, unwanted side effects or downtime.

Will the results be seen straight away?

Following a Dermalux treatment, there are some immediate visible changes in the skin but most changes occur naturally over a series of treatments. Results may continue to improve up to 4 to 6 weeks after a course as the effects of LED phototherapy continue to rejuvenate and improve the quality of the skin.

How many treatments are required?
